Some of may know that our wonderful Julie Mercer has unfortunately diagnose with terminal cancer. It is tragic news and has hit those around her very hard. Her daughter Emma has decided to take on the massive Yorkshire 3 peak’s challenge this June to raise money and awareness for the Association of Carers.

‘I lead a charity based in Hastings, covering the whole of East Sussex. Our aim is to support unpaid family carers, who care for a loved one at home.

Recently I have been diagnosed with terminal cancer and am now at end of life. Literally overnight my husband became my carer, taking leave from work to do so.

This focused the importance of our charity’s work in supporting family carers by providing free, volunteer led services, such as a regular break from caring.

My daughter, Emma is taking part in the Yorkshire 3 Peaks Challenge on the 17th June, to raise funds for our charity.

Please support her!

Many thanks’ – Julie
