We are very pleased and grateful to confirm that the Sobell Foundation have awarded us £3,000 funding for our S.C.I.P.R.R. service.
S.C.I.P.R.R. (aka Skipper) stands for Supporting Carers Identify & Plan Residential Respite.
S.C.I.P.R.R. is a short term service, where a volunteer helps a carer through the process of looking for a suitable residential home for their loved one. They support them through identifying where would be most suitable and can accompany them on viewing visits. The volunteer can also visit the cared for person to give reassurance to the carer if they are going to be away whilst their loved one is in residential respite.
If you think that S.C.I.P.R.R. might be a helpful service for you then please get in touch. There is also a directory of care homes and services in East Sussex available online.
