Volunteer

Our volunteers work in a wide variety of roles to support Carers who use our services.

We could not do the work we do without this committed team of individuals.

Whatever role you choose to play, you will be supporting others while enjoying a rewarding experience for yourself.

We pride ourselves on being an approachable, friendly, and personable organisation and will work to make sure your volunteering experience is as rewarding as possible.

We have a dedicated staff member, Kiki Brown – Volunteer Coordinator, who is responsible for recruiting, training and supporting all volunteers.

Kiki welcomes the opportunity to speak informally with anyone who may be interested in volunteering. We try to be flexible to enable as many people as possible to volunteer.

We have many different volunteering opportunities and will always try and work around whatever it is you can offer. Once recruitment is complete, some of our roles could start from as little as 30 minutes per week.

Each year in Volunteers Week we thank our volunteers by arranging a paid lunch. We also use this opportunity to present our annual “Extra Mile Award”, and long service awards.

We have a wide range of free courses designed to support volunteers in their roles and offer 1:1 and group support sessions. All out-of-pocket expenses are reimbursed.
