Staff Team
We are a small committed team who work closely together to ensure the smooth operational running of the charity.
Here is a short biography on each team member:
Louise Vladi – Manager
I joined the team in March 2016 after many years working in Mental Health Services. I am passionate about the charity and the work we do to support unpaid Carers. In my spare time I enjoy keeping fit, travelling and spending time with my children.
Kathy Burton – Deputy Manager
I joined Association of Carers in 2017. I have a working background in Digital Sports Marketing and Recruitment. In my spare time I enjoy playing badminton and walking my dog.
Kiki Prince – Volunteer Coordinator
I joined the team as the Volunteer Coordinator in April 2022. I love meeting new volunteers and supporting them in their roles. In my spare time I enjoy staying fit in the gym and running, travelling, spending time with my family, drinking coffee whilst being outdoors.
Louise Bodle – Carers Community worker
I joined the Association of carers in February 2022. I have a background of supporting vulnerable adults particularly those with learning disabilities and Autism. In my spare time I enjoy cooking, watching documentaries and spending time with family and friends.
Sue Bance – Administrator
I joined the team in June 2015 as Charity Administrator. I have previously worked as an administrator for a community education project and an IT tutor. I enjoy reading, computers, walking my dog, and knitting.
Maggie Hawke – Services Coordinator
I joined the Association in February 2019 as a Services Coordinator which involves matching families with volunteers across my area of Eastbourne and High Weald. I previously worked with the Independent Living Service in East Sussex. In my spare time I enjoy walking my dogs and spending time with family and friends.
Juliet Privett – Services Coordinator
I joined the Association of Carers in September 2023 as Services Coordinator for Hastings and Rother working with unpaid carers. I have always been involved in someway with caring, adults and children alike. I have 5 girls and 6 grandchildren. I have lived in New Zealand and Western Australia.
In my spare time, I like to listen to music, cook and spending time with family and friends.
Lucy Barker – Fundraising and Events Coordinator
I joined the Association of Carers in August 2022 as the Fundraising & Events Coordinator. I have experience in the care sector and organising events.
In my spare time, I enjoy being out with my friends, practicing photography and looking after my guinea pigs.
Jessica Robinson – Fundraising, Marketing & Communications Coordinator
I joined the Association of Carers team in June 2024 to support on the planning and delivery of fundraising, marketing and social media activity. I am excited to be able to grow the ability of the charity to reach more unpaid carers.
I have a background in fundraising and partnerships from various national charities, and am returning to work following maternity leave. In my currently limited free time I enjoy time with my family, reading, walking, dancing and swimming.
Marie- Pierre Bijani – Carers Community Worker
I made my debut with AOC in January 2023. I am from France originally but have now been living in the UK for over 20 years.
I have a husband and a 13-year-old son, and a lovely 3-year-old Labrador called Roxy. I enjoy playing badminton and doing puzzles with my son. I also enjoy volunteering for Warming Up the Homeless at our Sunday Supper Club.
Jan Fuller – Carers Café Coordinator
Having previously worked at the Association of Carers before retirement I returned to the team at the beginning of 2022 to Co-ordinate the Carers Cafes.
I am also involved as a volunteer fundraiser. Both of these roles are very fulfilling and still leaves me plenty of time for family and friends.
Andy Carnie – Carers Community Worker
I joined the team in January 2024 after a long history of working within primary support services. In my most recent role, I supported vulnerable individuals with housing-related queries.
I enjoy live music, watching football, and the outdoors.
