Volunteers praised for their dedication in helping Carers

There were two lunches held, one at the Sussex Coast College in Hastings and the other at The Moorings Restaurant in Pevensey.
We would also like to say a big thank you to the Hastings Round Table, the Magdalen and Lasher Charity and the Hastings & St Leonard’s Muffin Club for donating funds to make the lunches possible.
An ‘Extra Mile’ Award was also given to volunteer Roger who has been volunteering for the charity for eleven years. Roger quickly became a fantastic respite volunteer, providing support to four carers each week and he has been supporting one carer for eleven years.
Volunteer Manager, Nadia Bodle said: “It was a wonderful opportunity to thank some of the inspirational volunteers who give up so much time to help us in our efforts to support carers. Volunteers’ Week gives us a chance to say ‘thank you’ and we do hope that our volunteers know just how much we appreciate what they do.”
